School has started back up for Ella Jayne and with that comes a load of new responsibilities. Balancing school and professional singing can be challenging but Ella Jayne is up for the task.
Balancing Time & Priorities
In prep school there is a lot more homework that must be done, no exceptions, notes Ella Jayne. “They have worked with famous people before filming movies. They are supposed to give them less assignments if you have to leave school during the day but that hasn’t been the case here since I haven’t needed to leave during the day.”
Depending on the day, Ella Jayne can have up to four hours of homework a night!
When it comes to practicing singing, Ella Jayne admits she does it when she can since she has to keep up with school. Her goal at school is to keep good grades and her place in junior honor society, as well as get on the honor roll. “The hardest part is wanting music to be my biggest priority but having to keep everything at a good spot including my music. I hardly have time for anything, not just my friends, but everything.”
Homework With The Help Of Dad
Ella Jayne is thankful for the help of her dad when it comes to managing her priorities and getting her homework done every night. “He definitely is the biggest help with my music and homework. He’s really good at math and helps me get it done a lot quicker because I’m good at it, but I don’t love it. And he’s also good at history,” she notes.
