Ella Jayne, 13 Year Old Pop-Accoustic Singer Debuts on Spotify and Apple Music

February 14, 2022, St. Louis, MO: St. Louis-based artist Ella Jayne has made her official debut as an independent singer with new single albums. Covering Ed Sheeran’s “Overpass Graffiti” and “Old Piano” by Krysta Young, Ella Jayne took her big first step into the music industry thanks to producer Larry Carpenter. “It was awesome working with Larry because he’s so talented in all aspects of production, so I had complete faith that it would turn out well. It was awesome collaborating with him and the other session musicians.”

Ella Jayne recorded her debut with Grammy-winning engineer Jeff Balding and musicians NIR Z, Derrick Wells, and Jimmie Lee Sloas, along with producer and piano player Larry Carpenter. With these covers comes original music videos that will be released on YouTube.

About Ella Jayne

Born in O’Fallon, Missouri, in 2008, Ella Jayne started performing live when she was eight years old. She attends Mozingo School of Music, where she continues to refine her craft and improve her piano skills. She also plays with her music mentors, Stephan Calvert and Don Williams.

Ella Jayne has become popular amongst local crowds for her unique renditions of songs made famous by Janice Joplin, Adele, Tracy Chapman, and CCR. You can find her singing several times a month with seasoned bands like Calvert & Williams at wineries, restaurants, and other happenings in the St. Louis area.

Jeff Balding is an engineer, mixer and producer who has worked with big names such as Eagles, Hardy and Megadeth. With the knowledge of a broad array of genres, Balding has since earned a multi-platinum professional profile and six GRAMMY nominations.

NIR Z, a talented session drummer, toured with Genesis in the late 90s and later founded the band Cut. In 1999 they released their album Millionairhead. NIR Z went on to perform with musicians like John Mayer and Joss Stone as well as other artists more recently such as Chris Cornell, Billy Squier, and Alana Davis.

Jimmie Lee Sloas is an American session musician, producer, and songwriter. He was the founder of the band RPM with singer-songwriter Robert White Johnson in 1982. His discography includes The Imperials, Megadeth, and Dogs of Peace as a bassist. Solas also holds a variety of session musician and production credits and has performed with artists such as Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Carman, LeAnne Rimes, Kellie Pickler, Reba McEntire, PFR, Switchfoot, and Jessica Simpson.

About Larry Carpenter

Producer, musician, and songwriter-arranger Larry Carpenter began playing the piano at six and touring since he was 13 years old. He has been honored to work with a variety of award-winning artists, producers, session players, and engineers with releases in both the U.S. and U.K. Carpenter has extensive experience in a range of musical genres from pop, R&B, country, and contemporary Christian.
